Synopsis:

Nilak was born on a stormy night in Greenland, in an igloo. He was different from the others. He often ventured far from his village across the icy waters, because he felt there was something beyond his world.

On one of these excursions, he discovered a shipwreck on the shore. This is where his adventures begin, adventures that will carry him far from his village and introduce him to civilization.
It is a story set in the distant north, where people live in harmony with nature, relying on each other. Where children test their skills by leaping across whales and where fathers teach their sons how to survive.
A story about the meeting of two worlds, about courage, friendship, and about a boy who is not afraid to explore the unknown.
